System Requirements

Hardware Requirements

CASP is a numerically intensive simulation program. A fast and efficient computer hardware is recommended for best results

·         Minimum

Intel® Core-i3 equivalent, 4GB RAM, 50GB Hard Disk, VGA graphics with 1280 x 1024 video resolution or better, USB port and Ethernet port

·         Recommended

Intel® Core-i5 equivalent or better, 8GB RAM, 250GB Hard Disk, VGA graphics with 1920 x 1080 video resolution or better, USB port and Ethernet port

·         Virtual machines are not supported.

Software Requirements (Windows Platform)

·         Operating System

Minimum - Microsoft® Windows-7(SP1) 64-bit.

Recommended - Microsoft® Windows-10 64-bit and above operating systems.

·         OpenGL 2.1 and above

·         MinGW 64-bit compiler to build and simulate models

·         Suitable IDE for viewing custom block C/C++ code and libraries

Software Requirements (macOS Platform)

·         Operating System

Minimum - Apple® macOS 11 (Big Sur)

Recommended - Apple® macOS 12 (Monterey) and above operating systems

·         OpenGL 2.1 and above

·         XCode Command Line Tools (CTL) for building and simulating models

·         Suitable IDE for viewing custom block C/C++ code and libraries

Software Requirements (Linux x64  Platform)

·         Operating System

Minimum: Any Debian-11 (bullseye/ sid) 64-bit based x64 Linux distributions.

Recommended: Ubuntu 20.04 (64-bit) and above operating systems

·         OpenGL 2.1 and above

·         GCC tool chain version 9.4 and above

·         Suitable IDE for viewing custom block C/C++ code and libraries
