March – April 2024

  1. 2024.04.25 – CASP updated to 0.9.10.0 with support for Debian (bullseye) based Linux distributions along with Windows operating system. CASP is currently tested on Windows 7 and above, Linux Ubuntu 20.4 and Linux BOSS 9 operating systems. Accordingly, all CASP BSPs were updated.
  2. 2024.03.20 – CASP updated to version 0.9.9.1 with support for communicating with BLE devices. Linux remote build now supports 64bit Debian based distros such as Ubuntu, BOSS etc.

October to December 2023

  1. 2023.12.31 – CASP updated to version 0.9.9.0 with performance improvements and improved support for Android mobile platforms.
  2. 2023.12.01 – CASP block database updated with new blocks related to LoRa communication. Corresponding examples were also added. Accordingly, CASP setup program was rebuild and updated.
  3. 2023.11.05 – CASP updated to version 0.9.8.1 with support for data encryption using popular ciphers across all CASP supported platforms.
  4. 2023.10.15 – CASP updated to version 0.9.8.0 with noticeable features to all BSPs and enhancements to core routines. Please note that BSPs of earlier versions may not be compatible with this software version. User may need to download latest BSPs along with this software version.

August – September 2023

  1. 2023.09.16 – CASP updated to version 0.9.7.2 with minor improvements in user interface and code base. BSP for embedded board updated with minor improvements in code.
  2. 2023.08.02 – CASP block database updated with SIMCom block that supports SIMCom modules and improvements to some of the existing blocks. Accordingly, CASP setup program was rebuild and updated.

June – July 2023

  1. 2023.07.27 – CASP updated to version 0.9.7.1 with support for new Arduino Uno R4 board and improvements to Raspberry Pi Pico BSP.
  2. 2023.07.12 – CASP updated to version 0.9.7.0 with improved installer experience and some enhancements to the core routines.
  3. 2023.07.05 – CASP updated to version 0.9.6.4 with improvements in core routines and support for new blocks.
  4. 2023.06.26 – CASP block database updated with new blocks and improvements to some of the existing blocks. Accordingly, CASP setup program was rebuild and updated. ESP32 configuration example was updated with CASP version.

May 2023

  1. 2023.05.19 – CASP updated to version 0.9.6.3 with improvements in core routines. Accordingly, block database, examples and tutorials were updated. Previous version examples and tutorials may not work with this version and vice versa.
  2. 2023.05.29 – CASP block database updated with minor changes in block configuration parameters. Accordingly, CASP setup program was rebuild and updated.

March 2023

  1. 2023.04.13 – Block database updated. Accordingly, CASP setup program was rebuild and updated.
  2. 2023.04.03 – Block database updated. Accordingly, CASP setup and stand-alone simulation panel programs were rebuild and updated.
  3. 2023.03.30 – CASP BSP for Vega Aries boards updated with support to Aries v3.0 development boards. CASP setup rebuild to support the new board.
  4. 2023.03.24 – Block database updated with support to Integer16 for most of the blocks. CASP setup rebuild with updated blocks.
  5. 2023.03.22 – CASP Stand-alone Simulation Panel program was launched. This program can be used to directly run CASP project builds (stand-alone builds) without the need to install CASP.
  6. 2023.03.19 – CASP updated to version 0.9.6.2 with minor feature tweaking and bug fixes.
  7. 2023.03.19 – CASP BSP for Vega Aries boards updated with improved libraries and support for Aries Micro v1.0 and Aries IoT v1.0 boards. Accordingly, hardware definition file is updated.
  8. 2023.03.19 – CASP block database updated with support for new blocks such as ADS101X, ADS7828, MCP320X, APDS9960, BME680 and BMI088 blocks.
  9. 2023.03.19 – BSP on-line documentation page is added.

February 2023

  1. 2023.02.16 – CASP updated to version 0.9.6.1 with minor code re-shuffling.
  2. 2023.02.09 – CASP BSP for Vega Aries board updated with improved serial communication performance and other minor code restructuring. Accordingly, hardware definition file is updated.
  3. 2023.02.09 – CASP block database updated to new blocks and improvements to some of the communication blocks.
  4. 2023.02.09 – CASP setup file repacked with above modifications included.

January 2023

  1. 2023.01.26 – CASP updated with version 0.9.6.0. Hardware definition files structure had under gone major changes.
  2. 2023.01.22 – CASP updated with version 0.9.5.9. This update brings minor feature additions and support for new hardware and improvements to existing hardware BSPs
  3. 2023.01.22 – CASP now started providing support to Vega Aries series development boards developed by C-DAC, India.
  4. 2023.01.08 – CASP updated with version 0.9.5.8. This update improves user interfaces with respect simulation IO configuration.

December 2022

  1. 2022.12.31 – BSP for Raspberry Pi Pico/PicoW and Arduino Nano RP2040 updated with some bug fixes related to dual core execution.
  2. 2022.12.11 – CASP updated with version 0.9.5.7. This update fixes some known issues and brings improvements in terms of user interface.
  3. 2022.12.04 – CASP version 0.9.5.6 released with additional features, support for new blocks and bug fixes.
  4. 2022.12.04 – BSP for Raspberry Pi Pico/PicoW and Arduino Nano RP2040 updated with support for controlling frequency of individual PWM slices from CASP.

October-November 2022

  1. 2022.11.03 – CASP version 0.9.5.5 released with additional features, support for new blocks and bug fixes.
  2. 2022.11.01 – BSP for Raspberry Pi PicoW released.
  3. 2022.10.06 – CASP version 0.9.5.4 released with additional features to support new blocks and bug fixes.

August-September 2022

  1. 19.09.2022 – CASP version 0.9.5.3 Build-190922 released with updates to block database and examples.
  2. 15.09.2022 – CASP version 0.9.5.3 released with improvements in multi-threading. Users are advised to download this version for running latest tutorials.
  3. 15.09.2022 – CASP block database updated (link). Refer CASP documentation under Introduction->Installation section about installing block database from the downloaded file.
  4. 15.09.2022 – BSP for ESP32 and Raspberry Pi updated along with respective hardware definition files. These BSPs only works with CASP version 0.9.5.3 and above.
  5. 04.09.2022 – CASP version 0.9.5.2 released with minor bug fixes, feature enhancements and increase in license limitations.
  6. 24.08.2022 – CASP version 0.9.5.1 released with minor feature addition and bug fixes.

July 2022

  1. 31.07.2022 – Based on the feedback from our valued users we have removed hardware detection check (for most of our supported boards) before building and running the projects. Users can now build the projects without the target board connected to the host PC. Download the latest hardware definition files from this link and extract the zip file to ‘<casp_installation_directory>/hardware/’ folder to replace existing ‘hwd’ folder. Restart CASP to reflect the changes.
  2. 24.07.2022 – CASP version 0.9.5.0 released with new features, bug fixes and stability improvements. Users are advised to download this version for running latest tutorials and examples.
  3. Most of the hardware blocks are updated.
  4. Examples added. Users can now download various ready to use examples in addition to tutorials.
  5. 01.07.2022 – CASP version 0.9.4.0 released with new features and improvements. Users are advised to download this version for running latest tutorials.
